JACKSON, Miss. -- U-Save Auto Rental has promoted Robert M. Barton to executive vice president. Barton, whose previous title was vice president of sales and marketing, will now oversee U-Save's franchise sales groups for auto rental and car sales. He will retain his sales and marketing functions as well.

"The prospect of Bob running the franchise sales group is something we are all very excited about," said Tom McDonnell, co-chairman and co-CEO for U-Save Auto Rental of America Inc. "Bob's ability to motivate others and to get the job done will bode well for our growth plans in the franchising group."

U-Save and its subsidiary ARRC (Auto Rental Resource Center) have more than 800 locations throughout the country. Though U-Save has primarily served the local market for the past 25 years, expansion plans call for airport locations in the top 30 markets across the country. The company now serves 22 airport markets in 12 different states. U-Save also plans further expansion in the local market.
