Motorists involved in collisions are keeping southeast Wisconsin body shops busy this winter season. The car-rental business is riding a wave of business, too, from customers whose regular vehicles are stuck in the shop, according to JSOnline.

Shop owners say the recurring snowfall and sloppy driving conditions during the past couple of months have given them the busiest winter in recent memory. Many are backed up with repair jobs for a month or longer.

Debbie Zabel, owner of Forest Home Auto Body in Milwaukee, says her best advice for drivers this year: Make sure your collision insurance provides for a rental car. But with so many motorists waiting for car repairs to be finished, rental companies are reporting that their inventories are somewhat depleted.

JSOnline. reports business for the shops and rental companies could be booming again soon as forecasters are predicting more snow in the next week.
