A $2-a-day rental car tax brought $1 million in revenue to Allegheny County, Penn., Treasurer John Weinstein said in a Pittsburgh Tribune-Review article. This, combined with a 10 percent drink tax, netted $8.3 million in the first quarter of 2008. Weinstein estimates the county will receive up to $40 million this year from these taxes. They were enacted to help fund the Port Authority of Allegheny County.
Enterprise’s Assistant Vice President of Technology Innovation, Derik Reiser, spoke at the conference as one of four participants in a panel discussion sponsored by the Society of Collision Repair Specialists.
