If users have a route suggested via Google Maps and want to use a taxi for the trip, Sixt Ride is now available as a Germany-wide provider of spontaneous mobility.
Google Maps will now help drivers of plug-in electrified vehicles locate EV charging stations and provide details about whether the station is operational, Google announced on its blog.
The service, which is currently available to users in the United Arab Emirates, will be rolled out across the other markets in the region in the coming weeks.
With Uber’s latest integration update, users can now request a ride, see their driver en route, contact the driver, and follow their trip status all within Google Maps.
For example, a car rental company could use the Transit Layer to show customers all the major bus transit lines that run past each location.
