Green Commuter has launched the first open all-electric carsharing service in Los Angeles. The vehicles are available to rent to the public through the Green Commuter app.
Rent Centric’s self-service technology enables Green Commuter carsharing users to rent all-electric vehicles via a mobile app.
The California Competes Tax Credit Committee has approved a $250,000 tax credit for Green Commuter to assist the Los Angeles-based company with continued expansion of its electric vehicle car sharing, vanpool and fleet replacement service.
Later this month, Green Commuter will launch its fleet of 20 Nissan Leafs that will be parked at approximately 20 new charging stations at various locations in Chattanooga, Tenn.
On Aug. 2, Green Commuter will introduce its all-electric carsharing and vanpooling service in Los Angeles with a fleet of Tesla Model X vehicles.
