As the country emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic, rental car fleets are encountering new problems. Economic headwinds, including inflation, rising interest rates, record vehicle prices, higher fuel costs, and a hyper-competitive labor environment, are just some issues facing today’s rental fleets.

“Though the chaos of the last few years has calmed somewhat, we are still experiencing a sea of changes, including a push toward electric vehicles, connected cars and telematics, contactless operations and more,” said Chris Brown, executive editor of Auto Rental News. “In an industry in a state of flux, it’s vital to keep an eye on what industry experts believe the future will hold.”

The International Car Rental Show (ICRS), the only trade event serving the global car rental industry, will convene in Las Vegas to examine future issues and opportunities for the rental car industry. Presented in conjunction with the American Car Rental Association (ACRA), the ICRS24 will be hosted in person at the Horseshoe Las Vegas from April 14-17, 2024.

“ICRS24 will deliver the future focus, market intelligence, educational sessions, and peer networking that has been a staple of the event for 26 years,” Brown said. “Now is the time to come together and plan the future of an ever-changing industry.”

ICRS offers actionable intelligence on the latest trends that drive business performance. Get tips from pros on tackling increasing fleet expenses, recruiting and retaining employees, sales and marketing, legal and legislative info, business expansion and more.

The event will continue its successful hybrid format, offering both in-person and virtual options for attendees. “The hybrid event format expands opportunities for participants to connect from anywhere,” said Brown, ICRS conference chair. “2023 was the best event yet with over 40 countries represented and record attendance. You won’t want to miss what’s coming in 2024.”
