Green Motion International has arranged master franchises with car rental operations in the Netherlands and Ethiopia, the company announced on May 24.
KAV Autoverhuur, a Dutch domestic van, truck, and car rental business, has taken over the franchise rights covering the Netherlands. The company has been operating for more than 50 years in 16 locations and acquired the franchise earlier this year to grow its service to include international leisure and business inbound customers.

In Ethiopia, the Green Motion franchise was acquired by local travel and mobility entrepreneur Bizuayehu Tadesse, who will launch their first location supporting the capital city of Addis Ababa. It marks a key expansion point for Green Motion in Africa.
"Ethiopia holds significant cultural importance as one of the oldest nations in the world, rich in history, and home to a diverse tapestry of ethnic groups, languages, and traditions,” Lowden said in a news release. “Its strategic location and rapidly growing economy make it a vital hub for business expansion and investment in Africa, offering immense growth opportunities."Franchise owner Tadesse added, "I am excited about the opportunity and success that awaits myself, my team, and my family.”
