Portland Airport to Implement Rental Car Fee

The Port of Portland Commission has approved a $6 per day fee on rental cars at Portland International Airport.

The customer facility charge will help fund future rental car projects and improvements, including a new turnaround facility — estimated at $25 million — where rental cars can be fueled, washed and prepared for future rentals, according to the Port of Portland.

The new fee is expected to go into effect starting Jan. 15.
