Sixt has launched a campaign to help bring awareness of the dangers of drinking and driving. The campaign will provide a clearer understanding of the effects that alcohol can have on the body as well as the laws against drunken driving.
Factors such as weight, age and gender play a role in how alcohol can affect your body, but Sixt advises to avoid alcohol completely if you are planning to drive. “Alcohol and driving should not be mixed,” says Sixt.
In the U.K., the alcohol limit for drivers is 80 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood. Offenders of drunken driving can face a minimum 12-month ban from driving and a fine up to 5,000 pounds, says Sixt.
Sixt has produced a short animated film “A Cocktail for Disaster” to help promote its campaign. For more information, visit http://www.sixt.co.uk/drink-drive-awareness/
