The Palm Spring International Airport could soon have a new rental car facility, as city council members are set to vote Wednesday on the matter, the Desert Sun reports.

If the motion is approved, it will allow a consultant to begin preliminary designs on the project. The rental facility will house the vehicles, in addition to maintenance and storage areas.

Currently, maintenance and storage for the vehicles is located about a mile from where customers pick up the cars.

The projected cost of the new facility is estimated between $30 million and $50 million.
