App-based EV rental company UFODrive announced a partnership with DigiSure, a protection-as-a-service platform, to support its expansion into the U.S. market. The partnership will allow UFODrive to screen and onboard renters for their electric vehicles while reducing insurance costs.
UFODrive created an EV-native rental platform for renters to pick up a vehicle without the hassle of keys, paperwork, lines, and fuel. DigiSure’s digital screening evaluates new renters within seconds and provides manual review to minimize unnecessary friction in the onboarding process.
“Our customers have driven over 20 million clean electric miles across 30 locations, proving that renters are eager to use our customer-centric rental model, said Aidan McClean, CEO of UFODrive in a statement. "In the last three months alone, we have launched 10 locations in seven cities across the U.S., with many more to come.
“By partnering with DigiSure, we have been able to implement a comprehensive screening and compliance program without having to add headcount or build new products, which gets us to market faster and allows us to focus our team on growth.”
DigiSure manages screening for other modern mobility companies with complex operational and insurance needs, including vehicle subscriptions and P2P sharing platforms.
“We are excited to partner with UFODrive as they expand into the U.S. market," added Mike Shim, CEO and co-founder of DigiSure. "DigiSure is committed to enabling a fast, efficient, and safe onboarding process for UFODrive as they make EV rentals a refreshingly easy option for more drivers.”
