Educational Seminars

Understanding an EV Market in Flux

Join Bobit’s Chris Brown for a no-nonsense discussion on the EV market for fleets today. Chris will share his analysis on the independent OEM market, automaker updates and progress, and new product game changers. Attendees will walk away with an up-to-date understanding of the barriers and catalysts to fleet electrification.

Speaker: Chris Brown, associate publisher, Bobit

Formulating Your EV Fleet Roadmap

In this seminar, attendees will understand how to leverage a fleet management partner in formulating an electrification plan. We’ll discuss these critical areas:

  • Roadmapping overall goals — GHG emissions reductions, regulatory compliance, or both?
  • Matching duty cycles with EV models that are available today.
  • Planning and installing charging for various home and office scenarios.
  • Developing driver policy around opt-outs and home charging reimbursement.

Addressing these issues will put fleets on the right path to EV success.

Speaker: Brittany Zwicker, Element

How to Manage Electricity as a Fuel

Electricity usage and costs need to be managed with the same care and features as liquid fuels, but require fleet managers to acquire new general knowledge, training, and strategies. This seminar will explain the key concepts around managing electricity as a fuel. Attendees will understand how software is used to manage depot charging sessions and equipment and monitor offsite charging events. They’ll also learn how this new software integrates with existing fleet systems, including ICE fuel management, and how to access data to driver greater fleet efficiencies overall.

Speaker: Michael Terreri, Sr. EV Product Manager, Assetworks

Fleet Managers EV Forum

In this interactive session, area fleet managers will share real-world insights on electrification to help other fleets take their first steps. Discussion topics will include: assessing budgeting and funding, charging infrastructure site preparedness, EV spec’ing, operational considerations, and preparation for future growth.

Speakers: Giordy Lem, City of Chicago; Ken Crowley, Village of Oak Park, tbd.

The Ride & Drive features vehicles from Nissan, BMW, ZEVx, and Rivian, with more details and new models to be announced.
