On May 6, 2003, more than 20 attendees and speakers made ACTIF history by participating in the first in a series of Virtual Seminars produced by ACTIF.
By combining a website-based meeting and a conference call, the Virtual Seminars allow participants to interact with speakers and experts, stay up-to-date on industry trends and network with their peers from the comfort of their offices.
May’s Virtual Seminar consisted of three half-hour sessions followed by question/answer periods.
Session III - Counter Sales: Gina Brennan, a representative from Khoury Consulting, discussed how improved sales presentations can increase the bottom line.
Session I - Managers: Martha Rhine from Global Payments presented credit card acceptance best practices.
Session II - Owners: Andy Dinda from Total Fleet Solutions discussed managing fleet acquisitions and disposals. Future seminar topics may include more information about the topics above, as well as issues involving insurance, handling customer complaints, discussing damages and pricing. If you have a topic you would like to see covered at a Virtual Seminar, or would like to recommend a speaker, please contact Maggie Tatton, Associate Director, at (888) 200-2795 or maggie@actif.org.
ACTIF Virtual Seminars will be conducted quarterly. Information about the next Virtual Seminar will be distributed soon.
