Enterprise CarShare will display its hybrid vehicles and car sharing technology so that New Yorkers can learn about sustainable methods of transportation.
As the sponsor of Earth Day New York, Enterprise CarShare announced plans to display its hybrid vehicles and car sharing technology at the Green Vehicle Fashion Show in Union Square Park on April 21.
The annual Earth Day celebration is a free event designed to highlight ways residents can live and work more sustainably. Enterprise CarShare offers alternative transportation by providing electric and low-emission vehicles.
Enterprise said it is committed to reducing both energy use and costs 25% by 2015. The company’s car sharing initiative helps remove cars from the road and lowers emissions.
The company is also involved with other sustainable organizations, including the Corporate Eco Forum, the Department of Energy's Clean Cities initiative, the Electrification Coalition, the National League of Cities' Sustainable Cities Institute, the Transportation Sustainability Research Center, and the Wharton Initiative for Environmental Global Leadership (IGEL).
