Rent Centric, Zipcar Taiwan Launch Carsharing Platform

Rent Centric is launching its self service and carsharing platform for Zipcar Taiwan, the company announced.
“We are extremely happy with this accomplishment. It is our first foray into the Taiwan market, with this level of contactless automation," Michael Youssef, Rent Centric’s president, said in a statement. "This further demonstrates Rent Centric’s ability to provide high-automation, regionally tailored, solutions for local language options, telco networks, financial, and credit card processing systems integrations.”
Zipcar Taiwan has 88 vehicles, available for hourly or daily reservations from more than 60 locations across Taipei. Zipcar Taiwan has been operating in the market since summer 2017 and has more than 18,000 members signed up. Members are eligible to drive a Zipcar once approved, and they can enjoy all the benefits of having a car without the cost and hassle of owning one.
Zipcar Taiwan vehicles are clearly marked and designated and can be reserved in just a few minutes via Rent Centric Zipcar iOS and Android apps. Drivers can reserve for up to seven days, with tiered rates for value pricing according to their choices of subscribed membership plans.
The current Zipcar Taiwan fleet consists of VW Golf, Tiguan, Polo, Sharan, Caddy Maxi, Beetle, and Audi A1— each reservation includes 60km of gas, tolls, and insurance. The variety of vehicle types can fulfill various customer’s need for their urban living lifestyle.
