As soon as Hurricane Michael hit, Enterprise activated its Mobile Emergency Response Vehicle and transported it to Panama City, Fla.
Enterprise is in the process of transporting several thousands of its vehicles from surrounding cities and states into the southeastern coastal region, moving them to critical areas to help meet demand and assist with disaster recovery and hurricane clean-up efforts.
Enterprise has worked with the Red Cross globally for more than 30 years, including an annual multi-million-dollar commitment by the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation to the Red Cross Annual Disaster Giving Program.
Enterprise’s total Michigan workforce increased by more than 150 in fiscal-year 2017, with 1,830 employees at 150 locations today.
Of that amount, $1 million will help fund the organization’s Save Our Sons program and $1.5 million will support the Centennial Campaign that marks the League’s 100th anniversary in St. Louis.
Other Canadian initiatives supported by the foundation include the international Enterprise 50 Million Tree Pledge, which has supported the planting for more than 900,000 trees across Canada.
There are now 86 Enterprise, National, and Alamo locations – staffed by more than 1,200 employees – operating in Indiana alone.
In 2018 alone, the regional Enterprise Holdings operation in Hawaii and the Enterprise Holdings Foundation will collectively donate more than $600,000 to Hawaiian programs and sponsorships, including the United Way and the HHSAA, among others.
