December travel peaks around the world primarily due to holidays celebrated within the month, according to a report by Sojern. Globally, the most popular days that travelers have searched to fly are December 22 and 23.
For North America, the top five destinations were New York City, Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Chicago. When it came to trip duration, 43% of North Americans planned trips for 0 to 3 days during Q2 2016, according to a Sojern report.
