Poland's lower house of parliament is moving forward with a vote that would impose taxes on international ride-hailing companies operating in the country, Radio Poland reports.
Currently the two most popular ride-hailing apps, Uber and Taxify, file their tax returns in Holland and Estonia, respectively. However, if passed, experts say the law could be frozen by the European Commission for a violation of European Union law.
Additionally, the bill could increase the price of ride-hailing trips.
