A couple in Florida paid $10,000 in cash for a used 2018 Hyundai Tucson, only to discover a few days later that the vehicle had been stolen from a National Car Rental in Georgia, WFLA reports.

After finding rental papers shoved in-between the vehicle's seats, the woman, who purchased the vehicle with her husband, called the Florida Highway Patrol. The police recovered the vehicle.

The thieves had even given the couple fake registration, a fake Carfax report, and used a fake driver's license.
