Nissan its Chinese partner Dongfeng Group have allegedly been working with Didi Chuxing to create a joint fleet management service, Reuters reports.

Five people familiar with the talks told the news source that the fleet management partnership would oversee Didi's ride-hailing and carsharing operations.

Nissan and Dongfeng are also reportedly in talks to design and build custom vehicles for Didi's ride-hailing platform. Reuters sources said the vehicles would most likely be battery-electric and eventually autonomous.
