Celebration was one of the themes of the 2015 Conference of Automotive Remarketing (CAR). The conference, which is produced by Bobit Business Media, publisher of Automotive Fleet, celebrated its 20th anniversary with special events and contests — and a cake provided by sponsor ServNet.
Highlights included keynote addresses by Hall of Fame Buffalo Bills quarterback and cancer survivor Jim Kelly, who delivered a message about the power of perseverance, and Auction Broadcasting Co. Founder and CEO Mike Hockett Sr., who gave his insights about where the industry has been and where he it expects it to go.
Industry leaders were recognized during the proceedings. Paul Seger of GE Commercial Finance was named Consignor of the Year, Jay Cadigan of Manheim was named Remarketer or the Year, and Ricky Beggs of Black Book received the Industry Leadership Award.
CAR 2016 will be held at Caesars Palace March 16-17.
