Three Los Angeles admitted in a St. Louis U.S. District Court to defrauding Enterprise Holdings through a prepaid rental car scam, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
An assistant U.S. attorney said in court that the men set up a fake car rental website that claimed to be a bulk purchaser of prepaid car rentals for Enterprise Holdings, including Enterprise, National, and Alamo. The men took orders from U.S.-bound Chinese tourists and then used stolen credit cards to purchase credit card vouchers for them.
