Avis Budget Group Inc. has formed new partnerships with Frontier Airlines and JetBlue Airways, providing their loyalty members with savings on car rentals.

Avis Budget's new agreement with Frontier builds on its long-term relationship with Midwest Airlines, which has been combined with Frontier Airlines under the Frontier brand. Frontier flies nearly 15 million passengers a year.

"As the industry leader in customer loyalty for more than a decade, Avis will enhance the value proposition that EarlyReturns offers to Frontier customers," said Stephen Wright, vice president of key accounts for North America at Avis Budget Group. "At the same time, this partnership will create a new source of incremental bookings for Avis as we previously did not have an agreement with Frontier."

Beginning Nov. 11, 2010, EarlyReturns members can save up to 25 percent on Avis rentals and can also earn 50 frequent flyer miles for Avis rentals up to four days in length, and 500 frequent flyer miles for rentals of five or more days.

"We are pleased to introduce our new frequent flyer partnership with Avis and offer our members another opportunity to earn and redeem miles in our program," said Steve Mathwig, director of loyalty marketing for Frontier Airlines. "Partnerships with world-class brands, like Avis, enhance the travel experience for our loyalty program members and strengthen our own brand loyalty. Our members are sure to enjoy Avis' renowned 'We try harder' service, as well as the additional rewards they can now earn from every trip."

Avis Budget's agreement with JetBlue is effective November 10. Through the partnership, JetBlue's TrueBlue members will be able to earn TrueBlue points from Avis and Budget rentals. In addition, Avis Rent A Car and Budget Rent A Car rental offers, products and services will be marketed to TrueBlue members on JetBlue's official Web site, www.jetblue.com, through emails and in-flight opportunities. JetBlue serves more than 23 million customers annually.

"We are thrilled to align our brand loyalty efforts with JetBlue Airways," said Thomas M. Gartland, executive vice president of sales, marketing and customer care for Avis Budget Group. "This partnership will enhance the value proposition for JetBlue's customer loyalty program and bring us incremental business at the same time."

"JetBlue is constantly seeking out new partnerships with iconic brands like Avis and Budget that are meaningful to our customers," said Dave Canty, director of loyalty marketing for JetBlue Airways. "It's another way of being true to our customers by adding value to our TrueBlue program and providing more ways for members to earn points and enjoy discounts. These trusted providers are an extension of the JetBlue Experience on the ground, allowing customers to save money on their car rentals and earn TrueBlue points with Avis or Budget."
