Avis Egypt has been acquired by Ezz Elarab, a car rental firm that already owns Budget Egypt, reports Egypt Today.
By the end of 2019, Avis Budget Egypt aims to have a fleet of 1,000 vehicles and 50 rental locations. In the beginning of the year, a new Avis Budget headquarters will be built opposite of Ezz Elarab's headquarters.
The Avis brand will target the growing premium segment, and the Budget brand will focus on value costumers.
