Sales of used cars are expected to continue rising through 2020, including more than 39 million cars sold by the end of 2018, according to Edmunds.com and other auto information groups. As demand increases, Avis now offers a direct-to-consumer model for individuals and families looking to purchase their former rental cars.
The majority of Avis' vehicles are rotated out of the rental fleet while they are still under the original manufacturer's warranty. In addition, every vehicle is backed by a 12-month, 12,000-mile warranty and are available for purchase via AvisCarSales.com and the Avis Car Sales retail locations.
Avis also offers the Ultimate Test Drive, available in more than 35 states, where a prospective buyer can drive any vehicle of interest for free for two hours or up to three days at an attractive rental rate.
