Avis Recognized for Women’s Business Enterprises
For the 14th year in a row, Avis Budget Group has been named one of America’s Top Corporations for Women’s Business Enterprises by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
For the 14th year in a row, Avis Budget Group has made the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council’s (WBENC) annual list of the top corporations for Women’s Business Enterprises.
The national recognition honors companies for their commitment to integrating women’s business enterprise programs into their supply chains. Since launching its supplier diversity program 14 years ago, Avis has received the WBENC accolade.
Avis is one of only five companies that has appeared on the list for each of the last 14 years, says the company.
“As a company that focuses on integrity in all aspects of our business, we place great emphasis on diversity throughout our operations,” said Ronald L. Nelson, chairman and CEO, Avis Budget Group. “This honor is a testament of our continued commitment to include women's business enterprises, minority-owned businesses and small businesses into our supplier base.”
“Avis Budget Group recognizes that women’s business enterprises help drive new sources of revenue, deepen customer satisfaction and generate a stronger economy,” said Pamela Prince-Easton, president and chief executive officer of WBENC. “We congratulate Avis Budget Group for their continued commitment to women's business enterprises and for being named to America's Top Corporations list once again."
