CarAmigo, a peer-to-peer carsharing service with a mobile platform, reached an agreement with the Belgian government regarding the potential taxation of carsharing users, according to a report by Bit Coinist.

CarAmigo and the Belgian government worked for a while to come to an agreement. Now that an agreement has been reached, both the car owner and the rider will be able to calculate the amount of taxes owed beforehand, says the report. The calculations can be done in the CarAmigo app.

There is also a tax deduction initiative available. For every taxable transaction through CarAmigo, users can deduct a portion of that amount for tax purposes, according to the report.
