Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is recalling 646,394 2011-2014 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs so dealers can address a potential brake booster problem, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The recalled vehicles had brake booster shields installed as part of an earlier recall campaign. That recall’s intent was to prevent water from entering the brake booster and limiting braking ability. The new recall will allow dealers to verify that the brake booster shield installation was completed correctly, NHTSA said.
