Enterprise CarShare has expanded its services in New Jersey to the cities of Hoboken and Jersey City. Since June, Enterprise CarShare has doubled its fleet in New York City, and membership has increased in the metro area by nearly 50%, according to the company.

"Our expansion into New Jersey will provide even more area commuters with a car-share option that features up-to-date vehicles and first-rate customer service," said Ryan Johnson, assistant vice president of Enterprise CarShare. "As urbanization continues, car sharing plays an increasingly significant role in serving local transportation needs, and our service is poised for continued growth throughout the entire region."

New Jersey CarShare users will have access to nearly 10 types of vehicles, ranging from economy cars to minivans and SUVs. For a limited time, Enterprise is offering to waive the application fee and one-year membership charge for any New Jersey CarShare members, says the company. In addition, new members will also receive $15 in driving credits.

"Because our car-sharing services are part of Enterprise Rent-A-Car, we have access to newer, cleaner and well-maintained vehicles and offer a lower member-to-car ratio than any other car rental or car-sharing company," said Johnson.

Currently, Enterprise CarShare is available on more than 75 university campuses, 40 government and business campuses and in nearly 20 major markets including New York, Boston, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia and Chicago.
