To commemorate 20 years of business in the U.K., Enterprise Rent-A-Car has launched a national ecological initiative to give something back to the local communities where it is located.

In partnership with local authorities — as well as with the University of Sheffield’s landscape architecture department — Enterprise will transform roundabouts across the country into natural wildflower gardens, promoting local biodiversity, according to the company.

Enterprise will also be partnering with Green Estate, a nonprofit social enterprise that specializes in regenerating urban landscapes.

“Our success has been dependent on these local communities,” said Mike Nigro, managing director for Enterprise U.K. and Ireland. “They are where our branches are located, where our employees work and where our customers need mobility. We want to celebrate our 20th year in the U.K. by giving something back to the regions that have welcomed and supported us over so many years.”

The project will be funded by the U.K. business and the Enterprise Holdings Foundation, according to Enterprise. With more than 370 branches throughout the U.K., there is an Enterprise outlet located within 10 miles of over 90% of the U.K. population, says the company.
