Bobit fleet sales numbers reflect aggregate sales from the three major Detroit-based auto manufacturers and the Asian Big 6. However, several automakers so far have not reported full numbers for January.

Subaru has not reported sales into rental fleets, while it and three other brands -- Hyundai, Nissan, and Toyota -- did not report the number of sales into government fleets. [Automotive Fleet will update this article if and when they become available].

Broke down by fleet sector, 2023 sales figures show:

  • Commercial Fleets: 58,915 vehicles sold in January compared to 68,661 in January 2023, down 14.2%.

  • Rental Fleets: 80,4231 vehicles sold in January versus 67,132 in January 2023, up 19.8%

  • Government Fleets: 19,821 sold last month, compared to 18,586 same month last year, up 6.6%

Among all commercial, rental, and government sector fleets total sales for 2023 reached 2,179,751 vehicles compared to 1,698,656 in 2022, for a robust increase of 28.3%.
