SEARCHThe GBTA commends the Jobs Originated through Launching Travel (JOLT) Act for its aim to increase international business travel by reducing travel restrictions.
The Global Business Travel Association announced its support of the Jobs Originated through Launching Travel (JOLT) Act reintroduced March 21 in the House of Representatives by Joe Heck (R-NV) and Mike Quigley (D-IL).
The JOLT Act, originally introduced in the 122th Congress, will would expand the Visa Waiver Program (VWP), increase length of permitted travel to the U.S., develop a pilot program and reduce wait times for premium visa processing, and expand the Global Entry program.
According to Michael W. McCormick, GBTA executive director and COO, the GBTA urges strong bipartisan support for the JOLT Act and other government policies to facilitate international business travel.
“The JOLT Act will reduce cumbersome travel restrictions that slow down international commerce,” McCormick said. “As international business travel becomes easier, faster and even more secure, trade between U.S. businesses and their international customers and partners will grow.”
