Hertz Offers Volkswagen Jetta in Green Traveler Collection
The 2012 Volkswagen Jetta TDI clean diesel car produces 90% less air pollution and delivers a lower fuel cost per mile with 42 highway mpg and a 600 mile range.
Hertz customers will be able to rent clean diesel vehicles in the U.S. with the addition of the 2012 Volkswagen Jetta TDI clean diesel car to the Hertz fleet in late May.
The Jetta will be included in the Hertz Green Traveler Collection for its ability to achieve 42 mpg on the highway and reach a range of 600 miles per tank.
Adding the TDI Clean Diesel engine, which produces less air pollution, gives eco-conscious customers more opportunities to drive low-emission vehicles. All cars in the collection are EPA SmartWay-approved and is comprised of hybrids, electric vehicles, compressed natural gas vehicles, and now, clean diesel.
“Smart mobility rental choices are an integral part of Hertz's sustainability strategy to reduce the environmental impacts of driving, without compromising convenience or customer needs,” Hertz Chairman and CEO Mark P. Frissora said.
