The Hertz Corp. continues to add to its neighborhood market network with the opening of another 17 Hertz Local Edition locations in 13 states (Arizona, California, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Virginia).

These openings are part of a company-wide strategy to accelerate expansion in the off-airport, neighborhood car rental market servicing the replacement, leisure and business customers, says Hertz.

"It's imperative at Hertz that we are consistently expanding our network of neighborhood locations, especially in convenient suburban locations, such as auto repair shops," said John Holt, Hertz senior vice president, off airport operations. "We strive to provide our customers with the fastest and easiest car rental experience possible, and with more than 2,900 suburban locations nationwide, we continue to provide customers with a fast and easy rental experience, no matter where they are."

Located in convenient locations, these new stores provide Hertz customers with a range of rental vehicles — including compact through full-size cars and SUVs — and offer special weekend rates.
