The Highway Toll Administration (HTA) LLC, a provider of electronic toll collection services to the car-rental industry, has named Amit Shoresh as vice president of operations.

Shoresh, who was HTA’s customer service supervisor, is now responsible for coordinating new strategic initiatives with state tolling authorities, directing HTA’s customer service unit and managing field operations for the company, which recently moved to a new headquarters location, doubling its commercial office space.

Having joined HTA in 2005 as manager of the transponder rentals division and subsequently serving as manager of the violations processing division, Shoresh also is now the company’s information technology liaison with car-rental companies and tolling authorities.

“In the past four years, Amit has been intimately involved in every aspect of HTA’s business,” said David Centner, president and CEO of HTA. “Armed with a deep knowledge of HTA’s systems, procedures and goals, Amit will be instrumental in meeting the challenge of our expanding market share, while continuously enhancing efficiency and scalability.”

Shoresh was previously a city security manager for the education facilities of Ramat Gan, a city outside Tel Aviv, Israel, where he also served in the Israel Defense Forces.
