Hourcar Car Sharing Announces Fleet Additions in Minnesota
Hourcar will add 31 new shared vehicles to its fleet in St. Paul and Minneapolis throughout the next year.
St. Paul, Minn.-based Hourcar announced March 7 the addition of 31 new shared vehicles in St. Paul and Minneapolis over the next year to be located along Central Corridor Light Rail Transit line.
Ford Priuses, minivans and trucks will be available in May for Hourcar members. Currently, the car sharing service has 39 vehicles at 35 locations.
Hourly rates range from $6-$8 and membership fees are $5-$15 a month.
Hourcar is funding the expansion with the Funders Collaborative and $500,000 in grants from the McKnight Foundation and the Central Corridor and member fees.
