Keys to Understanding Residual Value Performance
Eric Ibara, director of residual value consulting for Kelley Blue Book, will present a seminar at the 2014 Car Rental Show that uses real case studies to provide insights into the factors affecting residual values for popular rental car models.
If you had a crystal ball, would you use it to predict the holding costs of your rental models?
You won’t find a crystal ball at the Car Rental Show, but you will find the next best thing when it comes to managing your risk portfolio. In the seminar “How Pricing, Volume, Performance and Redesigns Impact Residual Values,” Eric Ibara, director of residual value consulting for Kelley Blue Book, will use actual auction values and specific case studies of popular rental models to reveal the key market trends and conditions that will impact residual values.
Ibara will correlate changes in transaction prices, used car volume and engine performance to the subsequent change in those models’ used-car values, with specific focus to model redesigns. Ibara will also share Kelley Blue Book’s in-depth forecast of future auction volume and how it will impact future residual values.
This concurrent session will be held on Monday April 7 at 2:05 p.m. The 2014 Car Rental Show takes place April 7-8, 2013 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Visit www.carrentalshow.com for more information.
