Mobility Ventures has updated its MV-1 purpose-built paratransit van with several comfort and convenience features for the 2017 model year, the company has announced.
The 2017 MV-1 adds a power passenger door operated by a remote keyless fob and side-entry power ramp.
The 2017 model also adds a power lift gate that can be operated by a remote keyless fob. The lift gate makes it easier and more convenient for paratransit, taxi and individual owners to load cargo into the rear of the vehicle.
The model also adds LED headlamps that emit a brighter, white light for improved visibility, use up to 80% less power and last longer than traditional headlamps. A new touch screen radio offers an improved user interface.
The 2016 MV-1 is available in two models, including the more affordable SE and DX. The DX model features a two-stage power ramp that's deployed with the touch of a button.
Mobility Ventures announced the 2017 updates at the American Public Transportation Association Bus and Paratransit conference, in Charlotte, N.C. The company has not announced pricing or a timetable for when the vehicle will be available, and will likely make an announcement in early 2017.
