National Car Rental teamed up with Ford Motor Co. of Canada to include the 2013 Ford Edge and Ford Explorer with EcoBoost engines for its Emerald Club members in select locations.
National’s Emerald Aisle locations in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver will feature the new Ford fleet in addition to other ways customers can make environmentally friendly choices including e-receipts and electronic “Arrival Alerts.”
“It is our duty to find new ways to lessen the environmental impact of our ever-expanding fleet,” said Lee Broughton, director of sustainability for Enterprise Holdings, which owns and operates National Car Rental. “Business travelers and members of our Emerald Club need vehicles that they can drive reliably and sometimes for great distances, and we are ensuring that these needs are met with a lower impact on the environment.”
