ServNet has named Chris Angelicchio, who brings more than 20 years of independent auction experience, as its executive director, the company announced March 8. Angelicchio joins Robert M. Sullivan, the group’s director of administration, on the executive team.
ServNet President Chad Bailey said Angelicchio's experience as an auction owner and operator and his industry standing make him "uniquely qualified" to lead the ServNet Auction Group. "He will play a pivotal role in continuing to build and strengthen ServNet in this rapidly evolving industry,” Bailey said in a news release.
Angelicchio comes to ServNet with more than 20 years of auto auction experience, many of them gained at the Angelicchio family’s Pittsburgh Independent Auto Auction and Winchester Auto Auction which were ServNet members before ADESA bought Pittsburgh in 2015. He began his career in dealer sales at the Pittsburgh auction in 2002, eventually serving as the general manager and assisting at Winchester Auto Auction. Following the sale of the Pittsburgh auction to ADESA, he managed the Pittsburgh location for six years.
“The auction business is more than just my profession: it’s an integral part of my life,” Angelicchio said in a news release. “I watched my grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles pour their hearts into their family-owned auctions and those lessons of hard work and devotion have stayed with me. Growing up in an independent auction family provided the foundation for a strong work ethic, the belief that there are no tasks beneath anyone, a passion for customer service and a love for the auction industry.
“My years in the industry have also taught me the vital role that ServNet’s independent auctions play in this business,” Angelicchio added. “Because of the drive and vision of ServNet’s auction owners, ServNet has been ahead of its time, developing and embracing technology that has changed the auction landscape. While customers have been reduced to numbers in other areas of the industry, ServNet auctions are committed to the people they work for and work with, making sure that every customer has a white glove experience, whether at the auction or online."
The ServNet Auction Group is a network of strategically located independently-owned wholesale auto auctions. For over 30 years, ServNet member auctions have been working together to provide a full range of remarketing services to its customers, including auctioneers, inspections, reconditioning, transportation assistance, and inventory financing.
