The Onslow County board of commissioners approved unanimously an airport rental car contract facility charge that will take effect March 1 at the Albert J. Ellis Airport. The board approved the fee at its regular monthly meeting on Jan. 18, according to meeting documents and video.
The fee, at $3.50 per rental car contract day at a limit of 10 days, will go toward the airport’s Capital Improvement Program for airport projects such as construction on “outdated” car rental facilities.
Other contract facility charges in the state range from $3.75 to $4.25, according to the board.
