Sixt has signed a franchise agreement with Auto World Rent a Car in Saudi Arabia. Auto World is a subsidiary of the SEDCO Holding, an investment group.
Through the partnership, Sixt will now offer its services to customers in Saudi Arabia at a total of 25 locations, including all international airports, major port cities, and the capital city Riyadh, according to the company.
“This new partnership is a further step in Sixt’s expansion because the Middle East is an important economic region, which makes it especially attractive for business travelers and tourists,” said Rüdiger Proske, senior vice president franchise at Sixt. “Our partnership with Auto World Rent a Car enables us to expand our network considerably and offer our customers comprehensive, convenient mobility solutions on all their journeys.”
Auto World has operated in Saudi Arabia since 1983.
“I’m very excited at the prospect of the partnership between our two companies,” said Imad Zein, CEO of Sixt Saudi Arabia. “It represents significant added value, which will enable us to create sustainable growth for our business in Saudi Arabia. I’m very proud of the success of Auto World over the past seven years. During this time, Auto World has expanded its fleet to 12,000 vehicles, making us one of the strongest providers in the car leasing and rental business. The partnership with Sixt offers us and our customers many new opportunities and additional services.”
