For the third year in a row, Sixt is named as the top German car rental company by the German Institute for Service Quality.

Sixt scored high in the conditions and service categories. For instance, Sixt provided the best telephone service, quick and high quality e-mail handling and a clear, customer-oriented website.

“Receiving this award for the third time confirms that we have been improving the quality of our products and services constantly,” said Detlev Patsch, chief operating officer at Sixt SE. “We don’t rest on our laurels; we keep pursuing new objectives at full pace.”

The German Institute for Service Quality and news channel n-tv assessed different aspects of German car rental companies, including terms and prices on a range of model queries.

Sixt offered the lowest prices for several combinations in the rental duration and vehicle categories. In addition, the Institute tested service quality by means of covert phone calls and e-mail inquiries and assessed the user-friendliness of websites.

“Sixt stood out again on account of its excellent service and good prices,” said Markus Hamer, managing director of the German Institute for Service Quality. “Outstanding aspects of Sixt’s clear win were its exceptional e-mail handling and the best telephone service. The transparency of its prices on its website and during the booking process are proof of customer-oriented service quality.”
