Thrifty Awarded Best Car Rental Value by Entrepreneur Magazine
This marks the sixth time in 15 years that Thrifty Car Rental has won this award.
Thrifty Car Rental, a subsidiary of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc., received a 2008 Business Travel Award from Entrepreneur Magazine for “Best Car Rental Value.” This marks the sixth time in 15 years that Thrifty Car Rental has won this award, the car rental company reports.
The 2008 Business Travel Awards highlight suppliers who offer the best in comfort, innovation and convenience to enhance the travel experience of value-driven travelers. “Was 2007 the biggest mess for business travelers since 2001?” asked the magazine, citing chart-topping flight delays, carry-on restrictions, packed planes and slow-moving lines at security checkpoints. As the leading magazine for the small and mid-size business community, Entrepreneur singled out those travel suppliers who are making life easier.
Thrifty was commended for its breadth of service in 68 countries, as well as the company’s corporate account program, SmartBiz, which is open to companies of all sizes, even sole proprietorships.
Thrifty Car Rental was also lauded for extras like GPS-enabled navigation units available at most locations in North America and prepaid Pass24 toll service, available in Dallas, Denver, Houston and the state of Florida. A daily fee of $8.95 ($5.95 in Florida) includes all toll charges, and users get unlimited use of toll express lanes.
