Toyota recently invited representatives from the major car rental companies to the ADESA Auto Auction in Mira Loma, Calif., to attend a seminar detailing the manufacturer’s 2016 repurchase programs and remarketing procedures for daily rental clients.
Organized by Toyota Financial Services and Toyota Fleet, the seminar was designed to provide car rental companies updates to the programs as well as provide face-to-face communications with rental companies on potential program enhancements. “It was time for us to start listening to our rental clients,” said George Irving, national fleet operations manager.
A similar meeting was held earlier in the year at the Manheim Atlanta auction.
Included in the half-day seminar was a condition report demonstration, in which a de-fleeted rental unit was inspected and graded for an auction sale.
