Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport Terminal 4 has reopened following a security alert prompted by a suspicious, unoccupied vehicle, Fox News reports.
Early Sunday morning, airport officials shut down the terminal after receiving a report of an unattended rental vehicle left in a curb lane. The terminal closure resulted in evacuations of travelers and flight delays and cancellations for several airlines.
Officials later deemed the vehicle as safe and returned operations to normal.
The driver responsible for leaving the unattended vehicle has been issued a ticket for $52 and is ordered to pay an additional fee of $75 for towing the car.
