Violation Management Services, Inc. (VMS), a provider of parking and traffic violation processing services to the North American auto and truck rental industries, recently administered its one millionth unpaid parking violation incurred by a rental customer.

Unpaid parking violations of rental consumers is an extremely serious problem to the $30 billion global vehicle rental industry, costing it tens of millions of dollars a year in fines, fees, and processing costs. This does not include customer service issues associated with rental companies attempting to collect on unpaid violations from their own rental customers.

VMS, founded in 1991 in Basking Ridge, NJ, provides a technology based, turn-key solution to the hassle, costs and customer service issues associated with this industry-wide problem.

According to Neil Abrams, president of Abrams Consulting Group, Inc., a rental industry consultancy, “Every now and then, over our 25 years in business, we see a product or service introduction that brings great value to both rental companies and their customers. VMS, through its proprietary business model, offers its rental company clients a solution to a significant industry problem that is both cost effective and customer relations-sensitive. VMS benefits rental customers by limiting their accruing liability and financial obligation to the issuing authorities associated with their unpaid violations.”
