The Washington Governor Chris Gregoire signed HB 2384, a bill regulating personal vehicle-sharing programs, on March 29 allowing it to go into effect June 7 this year.
The bill requires peer-to-peer companies to provide insurance while a car is in use under the program so that drivers who decide to share their vehicle through a peer-to-peer program will not be dropped from their insurance.
