Zipcar Announces ‘Communities with Drive’ Winners
Zipcar selected 25 finalists for its “Communities with Drive” campaign that invited organizations to share their impact on their communities. In the end, Anjellicle Cats Rescue of New York took the grand prize of $50,000 in cash and $15,450 in Zipcar credits.

Sponsored by Ford Motor Co., Zipcar has named Anjellicle Cats Rescue of New York as the winner of its “Communities with Drive” campaign. The contest was designed to reward organizations for having an impact on their communities.
Anjellicle Cats Rescue, a volunteer organization whose mission is to rescue and place New York City's homeless cats, took the grand prize and will receive $50,000 in cash and $15,450 in Zipcar credits, according to Zipcar.
The three runner-ups — Top Box Foods of Chicago, Last Hope K9 Rescue of Boston and West End House of Boston — will be awarded $7,000 in cash and $8,100 in Zipcar credit, says Zipcar. The 21 other finalists will receive $2,000 in cash and $2,250 in Zipcar credit.
The contest, which asked candidates to tell Zipcar what impact they have on their community, received more than 400 entries from across the country. A panel of judges from Zipcar and Ford Motor Co. selected 25 finalists before voting on the Zipcar Facebook page started.
“We were overwhelmed by the positive response we received for the Communities with Drive program,” said Zipcar President Kaye Ceille. “On behalf of Zipcar and Ford, I congratulate all of our 25 finalists — we wish them all the best.”
