The American Car & Truck Rental Association (ACTRA), formally known as Association for Car & Truck Rental Independents & Franchisees (ACTIF), has an exciting vision for 2005. ACTRA’s name change is the first development of the year. The new name better reflects the purpose of the association and representation of its members.

ACTRA is looking forward to bringing even more value to its members. The 2005 benefits package will be bigger and better than ever. If you are an ACTRA vendor member and are interested in participating in this remarkable benefits package, please contact Anthony Reiter, the 2005 Membership Committee chair, at areiter@cheaprentacar.com.

ACTRA is expanding its scope by offering membership options to large franchisees and corporations. This will give ACTRA the opportunity to have a stronger voice in the car rental industry.

ACTRA is a professional support organization for the automotive rental industry. The association's mission is to support and promote the growth and development of independent and franchisee vehicle rental business owners. ACTRA achieves this end by providing an organization for rental businesses to pool their efforts and resources, to increase their buying power, to promote and improve legislation that benefits the industry, and to provide better products and services to rental consumers.

For information on joining ACTRA, please contact Jill Hawkins, Association Administrator, at (888) 200-2795 or jhawkins@harrtingtoncompany.com. If you have any specific questions on ACTRA’s vision for 2005, please contact ACTRA's 2005 President, Kevin Miles, at kmiles@thrifycmh.net.
